Composition

• 500 mg dry root powder of Astragalus species &
• other excipients as needed.

Pharmacology

Astragalus species contain various compounds with potential health benefits, especially for lung health: Astragaloside: Reduces lung damage, airway inflammation, and hyperresponsiveness, and activates the anti-inflammatory pathway. Flavonoids: Improve lung function and protect against asthma and COPD. Triterpenoids: Exhibit antiviral properties beneficial for lung health. Polysaccharides: Protect the lungs by reducing inflammation and promoting cellular repair. Isoflavonoids: Possess anti-inflammatory properties, protect against radiation-induced lung damage, and reduce inflammation. Other components, like amino acids, alkaloids, and specific flavonoids contribute to the overall beneficial effects of Astragalus on lung health.

Dosage & Administration

1 tablet 2-3 times daily or as per directed by the Registered Physicians.

Contraindications

Due to the presence of astrogallus saponins and astragolosad-4, the risk of bleeding increases with the use of astragalus with anticoagulants & antiplatelets.

Side Effects

No side effects were observed at prescribed doses.

Pregnancy & Lactation

The safety of this tablet in pregnancy has not been studied. Therefore, it should be used with caution during pregnancy as per directed by the Registered Physicians.
