Composition

• 100 mg Dry extract of Rauwolfia serpentina &
• other excipients as needed.

Pharmacology

Angicell is an ayurvedic medicine formulated with Rauwolfia (Rauwolfia serpentina), traditionally used for its anti-hypertensive and calming effects. It helps manage high blood pressure, supports cardiovascular health, and promotes relaxation. Angicell is effective in maintaining heart function and reducing stress-induced symptoms. Rauwolfia contains several bioactive compounds including: Reserpine, Ajmaline, Serpentine, Yohimbine, Rescinnamine. Reserpine : Lowers blood pressure by depleting catecholamines from sympathetic nerve findings, leading to vasodilation & reduced cardiac output. Ajmaline : Used mainly for arrythmia by blocking sodium channels, which slows cardiac conduction & stabilizes heart rhythms. Serpentine : It exhibits sedative properties which help alleviate conditions like anxiety & insomnia. It helps to reduce blood pressure through central nervous system modulation. Rescinnamine : It functions as an ACE inhibitor, blocking the conversion of angiotensin 1 to angiotensin 2, a potent vasoconstrictor. This leads to vasodilation & a subsequent reduction in blood pressure.

Dosage & Administration

1/2 tablet 2 times daily or as per directed by the registered physicians.

Contraindications

Its use is prohibited in cases of pregnancy, mental depression, lesions of the duodenum, inflammatory lesions of the rectum, irregular heartbeats, heart failure, gallstones, epilepsy, allergic reactions such as asthma.

Side Effects

Nasal congestion, dry mouth, depression, suicidal tendencies, tremors, lethargy, nightmares and diarrhea.

Not recommended for use during pregnancy.
